Indeed, those rumors are going around mid-late March. Because, since the brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine and the Western sanctions, visitors from ‘unfriendly countries’ (read: the West) are no longer welcome at the Cosmodrome Baikanur, a Russian-leased piece of Kazakhstan from which Russian rockets plus international crews are launched into space, mostly on their way to the ISS. That could possibly change, for whatever reason, and we are again accepting requests for a visit to Baikanur.
The most interesting Baikanur tour is one to a manned launch. It’s planned for October 25th and would be wonderful if we can attend again. We’ll keep a keen eye on it!
