Almaty Marathon Tour Package

Highlights of this 5-day trip to Almaty including participating in a marathon in Kazakhstan

The Almaty Marathon takes place on September 29th, 2024 and we offer a 5-day package tours to this event. You may also opt for distances of 21 and 10 kms.
A city excursion and an excursion to the spectacular Charyn Canyon are included in the package.
A visa is not necessary for a visit of up to 30 days to Kazakhstan for most countries.

Day 1
Flight to Almaty
Day 2
Panfilov Cathedrale in Central Almaty
Arrival in the early morning and transfer to your hotel. Breakfast and rest.
From 11 AM excursion in the city, including visits to Park Panfilow and the Zenkow Cathedral. But also to the Green Bazar, Central Museum and other places, if time permits.
In addition during the excursion you will receive your starting package for the marathon
Day 3
Almaty Marathon
Day of the marathon, your reason for visiting Almaty.
The 42 kms event starts at 8 AM.
You can also participate in the 21 kms event. Please note that Almaty is situated at (on average) 1,000 meters altitude.
Transfer to the starting point of the Marathon, and afterwards back to the hotel.
Day 4
Charyn Canyon
Day excursion to Charyn Canyon at 200 kms from Almaty, certainly the most spectaculair natural phenomenon in the Almaty region.
Lunch box for on the way and in the early evening return to your hotel. In the canyon you can hike and enjoy the marvellous surroundings.
On the way back visit to the (new) Golden Man museum in the town of Issyk.
Day 5
Transfer to Almaty International Airport in the night or early morning and flight back home.
At two people the cost of this program to a marathon in Kazakhstan is €500 per person, at four persons €360. For other group sizes please write to us. Prices are indications.
Included in the offer are:
– three nights of accommodation in a 3* Hotel in Almaty on the basis of bed & breakfast and in double rooms
– transfers airport-hotel-airport in Almaty
– transfers hotel-marathon-hotel
– two days of excursions in and around Almaty as described in the program, with local, English speaking guidance
– lunch box during excursion
Not included are the international flight tickets to and from Almaty, the remaining lunches & dinners, registration fee for the event and services not mentioned in the program.
Finally we will withhold €15 per booking for the Dutch GGTO Travel Guarantee Fund.
