Round Tour Xinjiang and Kyrgystan

Round Tour Xinjiang and Kyrgystan

An adventurous tour through some of the most interesting parts of Central Asia. In this tour you'll travel by plane, by train, by minibus and by jeep and cover many kilometers through endless steppes and deserts as well as the Tien Shan Mountain Range.
You start in Almaty, more specifically in the mountains just south of the city. Then, a long trainride - on a railtrack that was built just a few years ago, through sensitive border areas - will bring you to the city of Urumqi in Xinjiang (China). In Xinjiang you'll visit the historic places Turfan and Kashgar, where you can sense the atmosphere of Central Asia and the history of the Silk Road.
Via the Torugart Pass (at 3,600 meters) you enter Kyrgystan in spectacular fashion. Crossing the high mountains and via the splendid mountain lake Issyk Kul you reach the capital Bishkek, a green and pleasant city.
From there it's back to Almaty, fo finish this adventurous tour in style with a gala-dinner.
