Kazakhstan - Birding Paradise

Kazakhstan - Birding Paradise

Not only because of it sheer size and varied landscapes Kazakhstan is of interest to birdwatchers, also because the country is situated on the crossroads of two migration routes. Especially in May, Kazakhstan is a birdwatcher's paradise and for this reason birdwatchers from many countries have already found their way to the country.

On this tour you'll watch birds firstly in a natural park nearby Almaty and afterwards in a stone desert 200 km from the city. This is followed by visiting a desert- and deltaregion in the northwest of Almaty, and then in the high mountains south of the city.
You'll then fly to Astana in the center-north of the country and watch birds in the Tengiz Lakes area not far from the new capital. You will ancounter an enormous variety in nature and birds on this tour! For a description of the birds you may expect to encounter on this tour please check the dayprogram.
