Highlights of Kyrgystan

Kyrgystan, the closely related little southern neighbour of Kazakhstan, has a lot to offer to travellers: high mountains and trekkings, the Issyk Kul mountain lake, a nomadic culture including plenty of opportunities for horseriding and stays in yurts, and a very hospitable people (like the Kazakhs).

Additionally, because the country does not possess vast quantities of oil like Kazakhstan, and has always (after independence in 1991) felt a greater urge to market its touristic potential, resulting in better touristic facilities. Also, the living standard is considerably lower than in Kazakhstan, resulting in lower prices, together with mostly small distances between the sights. 

The proposed program offers you visits to a number of highlights in the space of one week. You'll travel in the high mountains, along Lake Issyuk Kul, and you can hike, ride a horse and stay in yurts.
