With its enormous natural diversity Kazakhstan is paradise for birdwatchers, especially in May. Because, in addition to this natural diversity, the country also lies at the crossroads of two bird migration routes, the number of different bird species that can be observed is enormous. The origin of the tulip lies not in Turkey (as generally believed in The Netherlands) but in Central Asia. Our botanical tour in spring visits places in south Kazakhstan where numerous tulip varieties still grow and blossom in the wild. Of course, also other flowers, plants and animals will be observed in this tour.

The far southwest of the country, in the province of Mangistau, you can witness the most fantastic landscapes and rock formations, in a land that is absolutely empty of humans (though there has been life in the past and remnants can be observed!). Have a look at these pictures.
